New Favourite Nude

I have been wearing Honeylove lipstick by MAC as a nude lipstick for a while now, but yesterday I was getting ready and decided to wear Rimmel London's Nude Delight lipstick. I bought this before Honeylove, and at the time thought it looked too fake and the colour didn't look right on me, but yesterday it looked really natural and lovely on my lips, and preferred it to how Honeylove looked.

Rimmel London- Nude Delight

Honeylove has a pinker tone to it than Nude Delight, which is peachy-er. The only problem I have with Nude Delight is that it doesn't stay on like a MAC lipstick. As soon as I have a drink or something to eat I have to reapply, whereas my MAC lipsticks stay on throughout all that!

Nude Delight (with flash)

Despite this, Nude Delight is my new favourite nude and I'll be wearing it most days, definately recommeded for pale to medium skin tones!

I went shopping....

I got this vintage floral dress in Tk Maxx for £18

Close up of the print, I don't think my camera captures how nice it actually is!

I finally got a coat! Also in Tk Maxx...£40. Was just what I was looking for!

I invested in some Tweezerman Eyelash curlers! £12 at Boots...they are fantastic, come with 3 extra eyelash pads & a lifetime guarantee!

I ordered a Babyliss Triple Barell Waver from eBay, I got it for £23 but I think they retail for around £32

Freebie Black 'n Gold Nail Polish

As well as seeing a couple of nice coats in Cosmo this month, I also got a free nail polish. There were 3 colours to choose from and I ended up with 'Black 'n Gold' from online clothing company missguided.co.uk
I really like this colour, as the name suggests it's black with gold glitter in it. The packaging is quite nice, I like the bohemian feel & the 'peace' sign.

I think I'll be wearing this on my toenails when I go on holiday next month!

Winter Coats

I have been looking everywhere for my perfect winter coat for this year. I've been in all the high street shops, as well as clothing websites, but I still haven't found 'the one'!

It's beginning to get really cold here now, so I really need to hurry up and buy a coat!

All the coats I like are always way too expensive!  I have my eye on this coat however...it seems very reasonably priced...

I saw it in Cosmo magazine, it's £35 from Asda, although I have just been online and they don't seem to have it...I hope they haven't sold out!

from Asos.com
I'm also tempted to try a cape, they look comfy and cosy, but I'm wondering how practical they would be -it looks like it would be arkward holding your bag on your shoulder.

What coat will you be wearing this year? Are you a fan of capes?

Benefit Georgia Blusher Review

This blusher from Benefit is one of my favourite blushers. It's a lovely peach with subtle shimmer running through it. You can also dust this all over your face to give yourself a nice glow, but I only use it on my cheeks as my oily skin gives me enough of a glow!
It's a really nice finely milled powder which blends into the skin really well. I dropped the box a few months ago so that's why it's in pieces in the picture!
I think this suits most skin tones as I'm very pale but I also used this on my friend the other day. She looked great in it and she has olive skin.

Lowdown on Mineral Make Up!

Mineral make up has become a big thing over the past couple of years, and almost every cosmetic brand has their own variation. I bought my first mineral foundation from a UK based mineral make up company, Lily Lolo. I spent a long time researching mineral make up brands and started to learn about why mineral make up is so good.
So what's all the fuss about mineral foundation? Well, it's free from harsh chemicals, nano particles, parabens, bismuth oxychloride, talc, synthetic dyes, fillers, fragrance and preservatives. All these ingredients are bad for your skin, blocking pores and basically doing your skin damage. The ingredients in the Lily Lolo foundation are Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue. These mineral ingredients are actually said to be good for your skin, which I agree with as the condition of my skin has improved so much.

Foundation in Porcelain.
As soon as I started using the mineral foundation I saw a dramatic improvement in my skin, I had bad break outs which I didn't know at the time were due to the foundation and concealers I was previously using (Revlon Colourstay). Now my skin looks good without make up on! Before I actually needed foundation because my skin was so bad.

Ingredients of the foundation- excuse the ripped sticker!
The other great thing about mineral make is that it has an SPF and is water resistant! It doesn't feel like you have anything on your skin at all, and looks so natural, yet your face looks flawless. It only takes a minute to apply, you could apply it without a mirror it's so easy.

I should warn you about the brands out there who call their products ''mineral'' but all they are is a powder foundation, with all the harsh chemicals and bad ingredients in. Examples of this are the MAC ''mineral'' powder foundations, Maybelline ''mineral'' foundation, Revlon's version...Collection 2000 do one too... there are many more out there!

Because I'm so pale I could never find a foundation to be pale enough for me, and I was always left with an orangey tinge- not a good look! With the Lily Lolo foundation in porcelain (lightest shade!) I don't get that at all. This will be because the foundation doesn't oxidise like a liquid foundation, as it doesn't have the ingredients which cause a product to oxidise. Lily Lolo also have a good number of foundation shades, on the high street some companies only have 6 shades sometimes.

I also bought two concealers, Blush Away which is a green powder to combat redness, and Blondie Cover Up which is a pale skin colour. I use these on blemishes and just like the foundation, they're fantastic. Like all mineral make up, they're water resistant and have an SPF. Blondie Cover Up ingredients: Kaolin, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Iron Oxides. Blush Away ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue.

Blush Away Concealer- there is so much concealer in the pots that there is always a load above the sifter!
Mineral make up should only contain these ingredients...
Blondie Cover Up Concealer

I have had these products nearly a year now, and I still have about 80% of the concealers left, and I am nearly coming to the end of my foundation. What I love about these products is they're so great and the prices are too, because I used to pay about £10 every couple of months for a new bottle of foundation, I also went through a stage of using a Clinique foundation which was just over £21 pounds. The mineral foundation is £12, and the concealers are £7. I am extremely happy with this as they have lasted really well, and they are the best foundation and concealers I have ever found.
You can also send off for samples to try if you aren't sure which shade you are. They're something like 75p!

Product Rave: MAC Charismatic Lipstick

I absolutely love this lustre lipstick from MAC. It's a deep reddish brown and is a
perfect red for redheads like me! It has specks of gold running
through it. I have seen blog posts for the Estee Lauder Christmas
collection and think this is very similar to the red lipsticks they have
with regards to reds having the specks of gold running through.
The lipstick is sheer, but you can build it up slightly. It's extremely creamy and smooth to apply, smells
divine, sort of a subtle vanilla smell. I find this lipstick to be quite
moisturising on my lips too which is always a good thing!
It's a great colour, I wear it on nights out with a gold-y bronze eye...

Estee Lauder Extravagant Christmas Collection

I am SO excited about Estee Lauder's Extravagant collection....I have seen tutorials and reviews on it over the past couple of weeks and it looks amazing, has a really lovely Christmas-y feel to it I think...  The bronze eyeshadow palette especially stands out for me. The luxurious golds and browns are the kind of eyeshadow colours which I like to wear... this has really got me in the mood for Christmas and it's definately on my list!!

No7 Balanced Results Day Sorbet

I love this moisturiser from No7 at Boots. It's especially designed for combination and oily skins and is by far the best moisturiser I have ever used. It comes in a glass jar with a silver plastic lid. Before I was using Olay Daily Fluid but hated it and found it to make my skin greasy and I also think it was breaking me out slightly.

The Daily Sorbet doesn't irritate my skin in any way, smells really refreshing and feels really luxurious when applying. It gives my skin a ''healthy glow'' without being greasy or oily at all. It sinks into the skin really well and makes my face feel nice and smooth. I do get a shiny t zone throughout the day as I have oily skin but the Clinique Pore Minimiser T Zone Shine Control primer combats this pretty well for me. People with normal or combination skin should have no problem with using the moisturiser alone but I would say if you have an oily skin you may need to use a primer.

I will carry on using this moisturiser as it is the best I have ever used, at £16.25 it does seem pricey for a moisturiser but it's definitely worth it. Boots always have offers on though, at the moment they have 3 for 2 on this product. I bought this four months ago with a £5 off voucher and I still have a lot left in the jar.

Definitely recommended!
